Everyone has different ideas, needs, and desires when it comes to what they want captured.  Therefore, I also offer the option to create custom quotes for each person based on their specific requests, so that everything is personal and tailored exactly to you.  I welcome requests for weddings (including engagement and anniversary sessions) as well as portrait sessions for adults, children, and pets.  I'm based in Southeastern Wisconsin, but as you can probably tell, love to travel and can come to you, wherever you are.

What photography services do you offer?

Wedding and portrait photography, which includes weddings, engagements, maternity, family, children, newborns, pets, anniversaries, and love shoots.

Do you shoot film or digital and what equipment do you use?

I shoot a mix of both film and digital  - typically film for outdoor or indoor scenes with an abundance of natural light and digital for low light and nighttime scenes.  I love the soft, romantic look and vibrant colors of film that provide dreamy skin-tones, but find that digital is often better during low light, indoor, and nighttime shooting.  For film I shoot with a medium format Contax 645 and 35mm Canon EOS 3.  For digital I use a Canon 5D Mark II.

How would you best describe your photography style?

It can best best be described as soft and romantic and even more specifically as fine art photography.  I strive to find the beauty in every photograph and take an organic approach, shooting with the least amount of equipment possible to shoot the highest quality images.  Constantly switching camera, lenses, and loads of lighting equipment can not only be distracting for clients and guests, but also can cause missed opportunities for beautiful photos.  I always try to capture the perfect balance of portraits (in an editorial style), candids, and detail shots that will tell the true story of your day.

Do you submit your work to wedding blogs?

Yes!  Especially if I feel it is an accurate representation of my style and has unique details that blog editors and readers would love to see.  Brides also have the rights to submit their images to wedding blogs themselves as long as myself and all other vendors are given credit.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Absolutely ~ whenever and wherever!  I'm based in the Midwest, but am available to travel throught the US and to any international destination.  Travel fees including any necessary transportation and lodging may apply, but I do offer a 15% discount for all destination booking outside of the Midwest and if it's a location I've been dreaming about photographing in, I may just let the travel fees slide!

Are you willing to help style engagement shoots or give wedding style advice?

Of course.  I actually got my start in the wedding industry nearly a decade ago as a wedding designer and coordinator in Italy and the US.  I also provide all clients with a list of helpful styling tips before your engagement or portrait shoot.
